DeskDuty is an independent, voluntary personal project built and run by an individual employee for colleagues who want a simple way to plan and track hybrid office/home work days. It is not an official company system, is not administered or monitored by management or HR, and using it is entirely optional. No one other than you can see your own data.
This policy explains what data DeskDuty ("the App", "we", "us") collects, why, and how you can control it.

Account data — when you sign in with Google or an email link, we receive your email address and, for Google sign-in, your name and profile photo URL, via Firebase Authentication (operated by Google).
App data — the office/home/vacation days, hours, overtime targets, and break settings you enter are stored against your account in Google Firestore (also part of Firebase), so they're available to you across devices.
Error monitoring — DeskDuty uses Sentry to automatically capture technical error reports (e.g. a failed save) so we can find and fix bugs. This can include your browser type, device/OS information, and IP address, but we do not intentionally send your name, email, or work-hours data to Sentry.
Account and app data: processing necessary to provide the service you've signed up to use (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Google (Firebase Authentication and Firestore) acts as our data processor/service provider for authentication and data storage. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
Sentry acts as our data processor for error monitoring. See Sentry's Privacy Policy for how they handle this data.
Your account and app data are kept as long as your account is active. Contact us to have your account and all associated data deleted.
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to object to or withdraw consent for processing based on consent. To exercise any of these, email support@deskduty.cc.

DeskDuty is a workplace tool not directed at or intended for use by children.
DeskDuty is provided as a free, complimentary tool, "as is," with no warranty of any kind. You use it entirely at your own responsibility. The operator makes no guarantee that calculations, totals, overtime figures, or any other output are accurate or error-free, and is not responsible or liable for any miscalculation of recorded times or any decision, dispute, or consequence arising from reliance on the app's data. DeskDuty is a convenience tool only and is not an official or authoritative record of your working time — for anything that matters (payroll, compliance, disputes, etc.), always verify against your employer's official time-tracking system.
